Finally my mother has gone for her surgery in Gleneagles Hospital at last two weeks ago. Concern and worry about my mother condition have been declined, at least at this right moment. Hygroma in ovary is a common decease for a woman, especially those who are at their corner of climacteric. As my mother too, who reach her age of 50 years old in this year. Serious stomachache has been suffering by her a long periods already, and every time have made her bearing the fear of abandoned us since that we are still a children, or perhaps in every great mother’s eyes, there was no growing of a child become adult and has the ability of take care of his or herself. So does my mother too. Fear and unfamiliar about the progress of these kind of treatment and surgery has lead her remain her steps in origin, scare that once she has taken it then that is no turning back for her. Rather that suffering the pain and pity for herself alone every time her stomachache attacked her, she also no willing to step into the hospital. What kind of passion and love about her children has made her bore one and one time again of pain? I don’t know. The love of her towards us really deep enough. There is a saying goes that the greatest people in the world is mother, yet she gave birth to us, feed us without any blaming words, guide us to the way she hope although that she has not been educated, lead us in the way she thought it should be and also, glad but no more when we reach our success.
Sometime, I really mad on myself that I have done something that hurt my mother, who loves me so much. Cheating to teacher and impersonated the signature in the exam paper was the two certainties that have brought the huge impact to my parent. What a stupid thought in an 8 years old girl’s mind has deeply hurt their parent? And also, leave an unforgettable memory in that girl. Yet, scolding by parent to that little girl never happened due to it.
Delay of taking surgery has made my mother’s decrease become worse. The growth of the size of hygrama has made my mother’s ovary cannot bear of its weight anymore. Stomachache has become more often and often and the intestines in her body have also being entangled by each other. Her stomachache has become worse and reaches its red colour in condition. There were no other choices instead of surgery. In 13th of April 2009, my mother has been sent to hospital. Every family members have accompany her except me, took my midterm in MMU. Nothing I can do for my mum except to take a result in flying colour for her. Two surgeries have been completed by two specialists for my mother. All expenses have been fully claimed by medicine insurances of my mum, leaving no financial burden to us.
